Divine Dental Centre offers in chair and home application options for teeth whitening.
A full check up and clean is recommended prior to beginning either treatment to ensure the process does not damage the teeth as a result of decay that might be present or other related problems.
Once our dentist determines you are a good candidate for teeth whitening and that the process will help achieve your cosmetic goals, then treatment can begin.
Home Application
Impressions will be taken of your teeth in our clinic so that custom trays can be made to fit your teeth.
Within a week your custom trays will be ready to collect from the clinic with bleaching gel and instructions for home application.
Trays are worn at home for a maximum of one hour at a time per day over a two week period. Usually desired results are attained within this time frame and single treatments can be made 3-6 monthly to retain the desired shade.
In Chair Treatment
In Chair Treatment gives a much faster result than home application treatments with desired shade usually reached within an hour of treatment.
As with home application treatment, impressions will be taken of your teeth and custom trays made so you are able to follow up with treatment at home.
Once your trays are completed, you will be scheduled in for an appointment for in chair treatment.
Professional grade whitening gel is applied evenly with the use of your custom trays. A special light activates the hydrogen peroxide based gel which encourages oxygen to enter the dentin and enamel bleaching out stains and discoloration.
The whole treatment can normally be completed with an hour and a quarter and you can return to your normal schedule without any down time.
